Procedure

To a solution of enone (1) (0.25 mM) and Thiol (0.25-0.275 mM) in dry chloroform (5 ml) was added catalytic amount of triethyl amine (20 μl) at room temperature and the reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 1-3 days under nitrogen atmosphere. The chloroform was removed under vacuum and residue was purified by flash column chromatography over silica using ethyl acetate in hexane as eluent to afford the title compound 2.
