To prepare the hydrochloride the diastereoisomer mixture of 4-[4-(5-chloro-1H-indol-3-yl)-3,6-dihydro-2H-pyridine-1-yl]-1-phenylcyclohexyldimethylamine (340 mg, 0.79 mmole) was dissolved in ethyl methyl ketone (5 ml) and chlorotrimethylsilane (255 μL, 2.0 mmole) was added. The solid thereby formed was filtered off and dried. The hydrochloride was thereby obtained in a yield of 170 mg (46%) as a colourless solid (Example 55) with an m.p. of 210°-212° C.
