The product from Example 183a (350 mg, 0.985 mmol), and Pt(IV)O2 (4 mg, 0.2 mmol) were placed in a 50 ml round bottom flask and dissolved in 1 ml of EtOH and 1 ml of THF. Reaction mixture placed under vacuum and backfilled with H2 using a balloon. Balloon was left on overnight and the next day the reaction mixture was purged and backfilled with N2, filtered and concentrated under vacuum giving the title compound (260 mg, 80%).
