Procedure
The brown solid 4-chloro-6-(3-(trifluoromethoxy)phenyl)pyrido[3,2-d]pyrimidine obtained from step 2 was added to a solution of NH3 in propan-2-ol (50 mL, 12%), and stirred at 35° C. overnight. The reaction was concentrated under reduce pressure and the residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (66% Ethyl acetate in Pentane) to afford 6-(3-(trifluoromethoxy)phenyl)pyrido[3,2-d]pyrimidin-4-amine (0.2 g, 17% yield) as a brown solid.
