A mixture of 1,2,2-trimethyl-6-(1H-pyrazol-4-yl)-2,3-dihydrothieno[3,2-d]pyrimidin-4(1H)-one (262 mg, 1.00 mmol), 1 M HCl (5 mL) and MeOH (5 mL) was stirred at 50° C. for 1 h. The mixture was concentrated under reduced pressure to afford the title compound (292 mg, 99%) as a pale yellow solid. This material was used for the next reaction without further purification.
