tert-Butyl 7-bromo-3,5-dimethyl-3,4-dihydro-1H-pyrido[4,3-b]indole-2(5H)-carboxylate (120 mg, 0.316 mmol) and 4-(4-chlorophenethyl)piperazin-2-one (75 mg, 0.316 mmol) were reacted following the procedure for Example 2 (step f) to provide the title compound (100 mg, 59%) as a white solid: ESI MS m/z 537 [M+H]+.
