A solution of 2-{4-[4-(methyloxy)phenyl]-1H-imidazol-2-yl}morpholine (1.9 g, 6.42 mmol), 4,6-dichloro-2-pyrimidinamine (1.053 g, 6.42 mmol) and Hunig's base (2.8 mL, 16.1 mmol) in ethanol (80 mL) was heated overnight at 85° C. The reaction mixture was concentrated, and the resulting residue was purified by silica gel chromatography using as eluent 40% EtOAc in CH2Cl2 to afford the title compound (1.8 g) as a white solid. LC-MS (ES) m/z=387 [M+H]+.
