In the manner given in Example 1A, p-nitrobenzenesulfonyl chloride, 1-(o-bromophenyl)piperazine and triethylamine are stirred at reflux to give 1-[(p-nitrophenyl)sulfonyl]-4-(o-bromophenyl)piperazine.
