Procedure
0.3 mol (56.2 g) of 4-chloro-3-methoxynitrobenzene in 170 ml of 2-methoxyethylamine is heated to reflux for 18 hours. The excess 2-methoxyethylamine is distilled off. The reaction medium is diluted with 300 g of ice-cold water.
