Reaction Steps
A solution of XXVI (0.90 g, 2.1 mmol) in ethanol (75 mL) was hydrogenated with 10% Pd/C (0.20 g) at 60 psi for 2 hr. The mixture was filtered and concentrated in vacuo to give the product as a white powder (0.40 g, 54%, mp: 213°-215°).
