Procedure

The title compound was prepared from [2-[(acetyloxy)methyl]-1-(4-methylbenzyl)-5-(3-methylphenyl)-1H-indol-3-yl](oxo)acetic acid and aqueous potassium hydroxide in substantially the same manner, as described in step 6 of Example 1 followed by the treatment with aqueous HCl in substantially the same manner, as described in step 7 of Example 1. The product was obtained as a white solid; mp: 216-217° C. Mass spectrum (ESI, [M+H]+) m/z 396. 1H NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ 8.21 (s, 1H), 7.71 (d, 1H, J=8.56 Hz), 7.64 (dd, 1H, J=8.75 and 1.28 Hz), 7.49 (s, 1H), 7.46 (d, 1H, J=8.09 Hz), 7.36 (t, 1H, J=7.63 Hz), 7.19-7.14 (m, 5H,), 5.91 (s, 2H), and 5.49 (s, 2H), 2.39 (s, 3H), 2.26 ppm (s, 3H),
