In a microwave vial 4-bromo-3,5-dimethylbenzamide (200 mg) is mixed with 2-bromo-1,1-diethoxyethane (1 mL), the vial is sealed and the mixture is heated to 150° C. for 30 minutes. The mixture is diluted with acetonitrile (2 mL) and purified by HPLC on reversed phase to give the title compound. Yield: 125 mg; LC (method 7): tR=1.13 min; Mass spectrum (ESI+): m/z=252 [M+H]+.
