Procedure
Methanesulfonyl chloride (0.16 mL), cis-3-(4-Bromo-3,5-dimethylphenoxy)cyclobutanamine (300 mg) and triethylamine (0.3 mL) are stirred at 0° C. in dry dichloromethane (25 mL). After 10 min, the reaction mixture is warmed to ambient temperature. After stirring for 3 hours, the mixture is diluted with dichloromethane, washed with 10% aqueous solution of KHSO4, then with 10% aqueous solution of K2CO3. The organic phase was passed through a phase separator and concentrated. The residue is chromatographed on silica gel (cyclohexane/ethyl acetate 90:10→50:50) to give the title compound. Yield: 200 mg.
