To 1-isopropyl-piperidin-4-ylamine (350 mg) in DCM (15 mL) was added DIEA (1.67 mL), followed by HATU (935 mg) and 5-phenyl-1H-pyrrole-2-carboxylic acid (461 mg). The mixture was stirred for 1 h at RT whereupon it was washed two times with saturated aqueous NaHCO3 solution, dried over MgSO4 and concentrated to give crude 5-phenyl-1H-pyrrole-2-carboxylic acid (1-isopropyl-piperidin-4-yl)-amide which was used directly in the following step.
