The title compound is prepared from 2-bromo-1,3-dimethyl-5-(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-[1,3,2]dioxaborolan-2-yl)-benzene and 4-bromo-2,6-dimethyl-pyrimidine following a procedure analogous to that described in Step 1 of Intermediate 56. LC (method 7): tR=1.01 min; Mass spectrum (ESI+): m/z=291/293 (Br) [M+H]+.
