8a (135 mg) was suspended in N,N-dimethylethylenediamine (1.5 g) in EtOH (4 ml) in quartz tube and stirred at 160-175° C. under microwave (400 w) (CEM Mars) for 2 hrs. After cooling to room temperature, the solvent was removed and the solid was purified by column (26 g silica gel, RT Scientific) (CH2Cl2: MeOH=100:0 to 90:10). The fractions was evaporated and washed with ether to give the product (9c) (90 mg). HPLC condition: MeOH 40%-95% gradient in 10 minutes then MeOH 95%. Retention Time=5.32 min. 1H NMR (DMSO, d6): 0.83-0.93 (m, 6H), 1.53-1.71 (m, 4H), 2.21 (s, 6H), 2.45 (t, 2H, J=6.6 Hz), 3.38 (m, 2H), 3.85 (m, 4H), 6.55 (m, 2H), 6.73 (t, 1H, J=5.4 Hz), 7.86 (dd, 1H, J1=8.7 Hz, J2=2.4 Hz), 8.54 (d, 1H, J=2.4 Hz), 12.22 (s, 1H). MS: m/z 399 (M+H)+.
