Procedure

Treatment of the product of part (i) (1.02 g) with 1H-1,2,4-triazole sodium salt (0.71 g) in N,N-dimethylformamide (10 ml) by the method of Example 1(ii), followed by chromatography of the crude product on silica gel using dichloromethane/methanol (97:3) as eluant, first gave, after combination and evaporation of appropriate fractions, the title compound, diastereoisomeric pair A, (0.22 g), m.p. 161°-163° (from ether).
