TFA (10 mL) was added to tert-butyl 4-[3-[4-(1-[3-(trifluoromethyl)-7,8-dihydro-[1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-b]pyridazin-6-yl)piperidin-4-yl]phenoxy]propyl]piperazine-1-carboxylate (2.09 g, 3.53 mmol) in DCM (10 mL). The resulting solution was stirred at ambient temperature for 1 hour then added to an SCX column. The desired product was eluted from the column using 2M ammonia in methanol and the solvents were evaporated to dryness to afford 6-[4-[4-[3-(piperazin-1-yl)propoxy]phenyl]piperidin-1-yl]-3-(trifluoromethyl)-7,8-dihydro-[1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-b]pyridazine (1.700 g, 98%) as a solid.
