To a mixture of 2-chloro-N-cyclopropyl-5-iodo-7-tosyl-7H-pyrrolo[2,3-d]pyrimidin-4-amine (150 mg, 0.307 mmol), 4-fluorophenylboronic acid (64 mg, 0.457 mmol) and Pd(Ph3P)2Cl2 (22 mg, 0.031 mmol) in dioxane (3 mL), aq. Na2CO3 (100 mg, 0.943 mmol) (1.0 mL) was added. The mixture was stirred at 100° C. for 1 h. Water and EtOAc were added. The organic phase was separated, dried over Na2SO4, concentrated in vacuo. The residue was purified by a silica gel column, which was eluted with 5-15% EtOAc in hexane to give 2-chloro-N-cyclopropyl-5-(4-fluorophenyl)-7-tosyl-7H-pyrrolo[2,3-d]pyrimidin-4-amine (121 mg).
