Procedure

A solution of (3aS,4S,6R,6aR)-6-[2-Chloro-6-(2,2-diphenyl-ethylamino)-purin-9-yl]-2,2-dimethyl-tetrahydro-furo[3,4-d][1,3]dioxole-4-carboxylic acid ethylamide (Step D1) in TFA/water (2:1) is stirred at RT overnight. The reaction mixture is concentrated in vacuo to afford the titled compound.
