To N-[2-chloro-5-(2,3,4,5-tetrahydro-benzo[b]azepine-1-sulfonyl)-phenyl]-3-oxo-butyramide (0.42 g, 1 mmol) in dry ethanol (4 mL) was added ammonium acetate (0.37 g, 3 mmol). The mixture was heated at 65° C. under stirring for 16 hrs. The filtration of the reaction mixture afforded N-[2-chloro-5-(2,3,4,5-tetrahydro-benzo[b]azepine-1-sulfonyl)-phenyl]-3-imino-butyramide as white solid (0.24 g).
