Conc. HCl (4 ml) was added to a mixture of the product from example 34 step (ii) (5.2 g) in MeOH (100 ml) at rt and stirred for 30 min. The solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure and the residue dissolved in water (150 ml). Aq sat, NaHCO3 soln was added until basic then the solid filtered, washed with water, ether and dried to afford the subtitle compound, 3.48 g.
