Procedure
A solution of 2-(1,4-Dioxa-spiro[4.5]dec-8-yl)-thiazole-5-carboxylic acid (as prepared in Example 52, Step C, 700 mg, 2.60 mmol), EDCI (600 mg, 3.12 mmol), HOBT (420 mg, 3.12 mmol) and TEA (490 μL, 3.50 mmol) in DCM (10 mL) were treated with 2N NH3 in dioxane (2 mL) at room temperature overnight. The solvent was removed in vacuo and the residue was purified by a CombiFlash® system using hexanes and ethyl acetate to afford the title compound as a white solid.
