Procedure
tert-butyl 1-(2,4-difluorobenzyl)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinolin-3-ylcarbamate (365 mg) in trifluoroacetic acid and dichloromethane (1:4, v/v) was stirred at room temperature for 3 hours. After removing all the volatiles, toluene (5 mL) was added to the residue and evaporated again. The residue was then dried over vacuum overnight to give 1-(2,4-difluorobenzyl)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinolin-3-amine as its TFA salt.
