Procedure
A cooled (0° C.) solution of 4-fluorobenzenesulfonyl chloride (2.00 g; 10.3 mmol) in THF (40 ml) is treated with a 2 M solution of dimethylamine in THF (11.3 ml; 22.6 mmol) and stirred at 0° C. for 30 minutes. The solvents were removed under reduced pressure, the residue taken up in EtOAc, the organic phase was washed with a saturated solution of NH4Cl twice and with water. The organic phase was dried on MgSO4, filtered and the solvent removed under reduced pressure to afford the title compound (1.80 g, 86%).
