430 mg 4-(4,5-dihydro-oxazol-2-yl)-piperazine-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl esterhydrobromide was stirred in 5 mL 4 M HCl solution in dioxane for 20 min. The mixture was filtered to give 165 mg of the desired product. Rt: 0.88 min (method B), (M+H)+: 156
