A mixture of 1.48 g of 5-[6-({[tert-butyl(dimethyl)silyl]oxy}methyl)-1H-imidazo[4,5-c]pyridin-1-yl]-3-{-1-[4-fluoro-2-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]ethoxy}thiophene-2-carboxamide in 25 ml THF is cooled to 0° C. At 0° C. 0.91 ml tetra-n-butylammonium fluoride (˜75% in H20) are added. The reaction mixture is allowed to warm to room temperature and stirred for 90 minutes.
