Proceeding as in Example 3, but replacing (S)-2-(1-azabicyclo[2.2.2]oct-3-yl)-5-ethyl-1(2H)-isoquinolinone with (S)-2-(1-azabicyclo[2.2.2]oct-3-yl)-5-methoxy-1(2H)-isoquinolinone, from Example 2, gave (S)-2-(1-azabicyclo[2.2.2]oct-3-yl)-3,4-dihydro-5-methoxy-1(2H)-isoquinolinone, m.p. >290° C. [α]D25 -45.7° (c=0.16 H2O).
