Repeating the reaction of Example 1 but using 10.0 g. of cyclohexylethylthiol gives 2-nitro-5-cyclohexylethylthioaniline. The nitro compound is reduced. The reduction mixture is reacted with carbomethoxycyanamide as described to give 5-cyclohexylethylthio-2-carbomethoxyaminobenzimidazole.
