Procedure
To a solution of 0.294 g (0.661 mmol) of the product of Step D dissolved in 4 mL of THF was added 0.69 mL (0.69 mmol) of a 1.0M solution of tetra-n-butylammonium fluoride in THF, and the reaction mixture was stirred 2 hours at room temperature. The reaction was then concentrated in vacuo and purified by filtration through a silica gel pad eluted with chloroform. Evaporation of the filtrate and drying in vacuo afforded 0.188 g (87%) of the title compound.
