Procedure
Using the procedure of Example 9, the alkylation of 5.0 g. of 1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-6-phenylmethoxy-9H-dibenzo[b,d]pyrrole from Example 56 was reacted with 1-bromobutane (2.68 g) to give 5.3 g (88.2%) of 1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-6-phenylmethoxy-9-butyl-9H-dibenzo[b,d]pyrrole as a yellow oil after chromatographic purification.
