To a mixture of ethanethiol (62 μl, 0.84 mmol) and 1N NaOH (0.5 ml, 0.5 mmol) in THF (2.1 ml) 9 (101 mg, 0.42 mmol) was added. The mixture was stirred at room temperature for 30 min then the solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure. The residue was dissolved in H2O (4 ml) and extracted with CH2Cl2 (2×4 ml). The collected organic phases were dried over Na2SO4, filtered and evaporated. The crude was purified by flash chromatography (CH2Cl2) affording 23 (98 mg, 87%) as orange solid.
