Procedure

The reaction of methyl 1-(1-(2,2,2-trifluoroethyl)piperidin-4-yl)azetidine-2-carboxylate 19G and lithium hydroxide monohydrate yielded lithium 1-(1-(2,2,2-trifluoroethyl)piperidin-4-yl)azetidine-2-carboxylate as a light brown solid (quant.). MS ISP (m/e): 267.2 (100) [(M+H)]+.
