Procedure
To a solution of 4-chlorosulfonyl-piperidine-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester (295 mg) in dichloromethane stirring at 0° C. was added triethylamine (96 μL) and morpholine (55 μL). The reaction mixture was stirred overnight then quenched with water and extracted into dichloromethane. The combined organics were washed with brine and dried (MgSO4). The solvent was removed in vacuo to yield 4-(morpholine-4-sulfonyl)-piperidine-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester (120 mg).
