The title compound was prepared following the general procedure 10, starting from 4-cyano-2-methoxybenzyl bromide (Carbocore) and sarcosine tert-butyl ester hydrochloride. It was isolated as a colorless oil. 1H NMR (DMSO-d6, 300 MHz) δ 7.53 (d, J=7.7 Hz, 1H), 7.45-7.40 (m, 2H), 3.83 (s, 3H), 3.69 (s, 2H), 3.20 (s, 2H), 2.27 (s, 3H), 1.42 (s, 9H). LC/MS (Method B): 291.0 (M+H)+. HPLC (Method A) Rt 2.52 min (Purity: 93.5%).
