Adding 3 m3 of cerium chloride solution (1.5 mol/L) into a reactor containing 14 m3 of magnesium bicarbonate solution (MgO: 29.2 g/L, Fe: 1.5 ppm, Al: 0.3 ppm) to react for 3 hours at 35° C., and controlling the pH value of mother liquor at 7.5, cerium ions are precipitated. And then cerium carbonate is obtained after filtration, washing and drying.
