Procedure

N′-[3-(t-Butyl-dimethyl-silanyloxy)-propyl]-N′-methyl-hydrazinecarboxylic acid t-butyl ester (120 mg, 377 μmol) was at 0° C. combined with dichloromethane (2 mL) and trifluoroacetic acid (2 mL) to give a light yellow solution. The reaction mixture was stirred for 2 h at 0° C. and subsequently concentrated in vacuo to give the title compound as yellow oil, which was used without further purification in the next step.
