To a solution of [1-(2,3-dihydrobenzo[1,4]dioxin-2-ylmethyl)-3-methyl-piperidin-3-yl]methanol (0.20 g, 0.72 mmol) in dry DCM (10 ml) at 0° C. was added DIPEA (0.42 ml) and chloromethylmethyl ether (0.11 ml). The reaction mixture was stirred at RT for 16 h. Water was added and the product was extracted with DCM (3×20 ml). The combined organic phases were dried over Na2SO4, filtered and the filtrate was evaporated to give the title compound.
