Procedure
A mixture of 2-{(S)-1-[(S)-1-(2,3-dihydrobenzo[1,4]dioxin-2-yl)methyl]-3-methylpiperidin-3-ylmethoxy}-ethanol (3.1 g, 9.6 mmol) and acetone (30 ml) was heated to 50° C. and D-tartaric acid (1.45 g, 9.7 mmol) was added in small portions at 50° C. The reaction mixture was refluxed for 1 h, after which it was cooled down to RT and the solvent was evaporated. The residue was dried under vacuum at 40° C. to give 4.17 g of the title salt.
