0.7 g of 2-chloro-7,7-dimethyl-6,7,8,9-tetrahydro-4H-pyrimido[1,2-a]pyrimidin-4-one in 5 mL of morpholine are heated in the microwave oven to 80° C. for 1 h30 mins. The crude is purified by flash chromatography on silica gel SiO2 (100% CH2Cl2 to 92/8 CH2Cl2/MeOH). 0.58 g (yield=62%) of 7,7-dimethyl-2-(morpholin-4-yl)-6,7,8,9-tetrahydro-4H-pyrimido[1,2-a]pyrimidin-4-one are obtained as a white solid including the following characteristics:
