Procedure
NaOCH3 (0.5 mol/L in methanol; 1.3 mL) is added to a solution of {(S)-6-[(R)-4-(6-chloro-pyridazin-3-yloxy)-7-fluoro-indan-1-yloxy]-2,3-dihydro-benzofuran-3-yl}-acetic acid methyl ester in tetrahydrofuran (3 mL) and methanol (0.1 mL) at room temperature. The solution is stirred at room temperature for 1 h, and then 4 M aqueous NaOH solution (0.21 mL) is added. The solution is stirred for 1 h and is then concentrated. The residue is purified by HPLC (acetonitrile/water/ammonia) to give the title compound. LC (method 2): tR=1.02 min; Mass spectrum (ESI−): m/z=451 [M−H]−.
