Into a 50-mL round-bottom flask, was placed a solution of 2-nitro-5-(piperidin-1-yl)-N-(1-(3-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl)-1H-pyrazol-3-yl)benzamide (900 mg, 1.96 mmol, 1.00 equiv) in methanol (15 mL) and ethyl acetate (15 mL). The mixture was treated with Pd/C (500 mg) stirred under a hydrogen atmosphere for 1 h at room temperature in an oil bath. The reaction progress was monitored by LCMS. The solids were filtered out. The resulting mixture was concentrated under vacuum to give 600 mg (71%) of product as a brown solid.
