Procedure

To the solution of compound 2.III from Step C is added 0.5 ml of pyridine and then 190.5 mg (1 mmole) of tosyl chloride. After 30 minutes at 25° C. the solution is washed three times with water, once with brine, and dried with K2CO3 and filtered. The filtrate is used directly in the next step.
