The titled compound was prepared from the above-mentioned 3-butyl-6-(trifluoromethyl)benzothiophen-2-carboxaldehyde (88 mg, 0.31 mmol) and methyl 3-(4-acetyl-2-methylphenyl)acrylate (67 mg, 0.31 mmol) in a procedure similar to that of Example 7 (1) as a yellow crystal (77 mg, yield 51%).
