A mixture of 4-[4-(3,5-dichloro-phenyl)-4-trifluoromethyl-4,5-dihydro-3H-pyrrol-2-yl]-2-chloro-benzaldehyde (121 mg, 0.29 mmol) and ethyl semicarbazide hydrochloride (60 mg 0.43 mmol) in ethanol (5 mL) and glacial acetic acid (0.1 mL) was heated at 70° C. for 4 h. Then, water was added and cooled, upon which a precipitate formed. The latter was collected by filtration and dried in vacuum to obtain the title compound (137 mg, 93%).
