To a mixture of 6-(3-fluoro-benzyloxy)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-isoquinoline (0.200 g, 0.78 mmol) and potassium carbonate (0.215 mg, 1.56 mmol) in acetone, 2-bromo-propionamide (0.142 mg, 0.936 mmol) was added and the resulting mixture was stirred overnight at room temperature. The mixture, after filtration and evaporation, was purified by chromatography (SiO2, hexane/Et2O 3:2 v:v) to give the title compound as a white solid (0.189 g, 74%). MS: m/e=329.3 (M+H+).
