6-(4-Hydroxy-3-methoxy-phenyl)-5,6,6a,7,8,12b-hexahydro-benzo[k]phenanthridine-2-carbonitrile was prepared according to the protocol described in Example 2 using 4-cyanophenyl amine instead of 4-amino-benzamidine mono HCl salt, 1,2-dihydronapthalene and 4-acetoxy-3-methoxybenzaldehyde. Mass spectrum 400 (M+1).
