Reaction Steps
3,4-Dihydroisoquinolinium perchlorate (2 g) and 2-isopropylidene-indan-1-one (2 g) were heated together at 150° for 2 hours. The reaction mixture was cooled and diluted with methanol. The product was collected by filtration and recrystallized from methanol.
