Using preparation method 1, 94B (131 mg, 0.74 mmol) was reacted with phenethylamine (138 μL, 133 mg, 1.1 mmol). Purification by flash chromatography on SiO2 using CH2Cl2/hexanes 50:50 then CH2Cl2 100% afforded white crystals were obtained (177 mg, 86%). NMR 1H (ppm, CDCl3): 7.50 (s, 1H), 7.47 (dt, J3=7.0 Hz, J4=1.8 Hz, 1H), 7.33-7.21 (m, 7H), 6.28 (br. s, 1H), 3.72-3.66 (m, 2H), 2.92 (t, J3=7.0 Hz, 2H), 2.48 (d, J3=7.2 Hz, 2H), 1.90-1.81 (m, 1H), 0.88 (d, J3=6.6 Hz, 6H).
