Procedure
Methyl 2-(4-((4-amino-2-methyl-1H-indol-5-yloxy)methyl)-3-methoxyphenyl)acetate 1.3 (30 mg, 0.088 mmol) in anhydrous pyridine (1 mol) was treated with 2-chloro-4-(2,2,2-trifluoroethoxy)benzene sulfonyl chloride (28.13 mg, 0.0968 mmol). After stirring 2 h, the reaction was diluted with ethyl acetate (5 mL) and washed with 1N HCl (2×), water (1×), saturated brine, dried over Na2SO4, and concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue was used immediately without further purification.
